While in the past, the housing crisis mostly affected those on the fringes of society, we are now facing the reality that even our essential workers are unable to afford to live in the communities where they work. Our children, the next generation, are also finding it increasingly difficult to afford their own homes. This is something that we once took for granted. Additionally, our elders, who have played a significant role in building our nation, are finding it challenging to have suitable care and affordable housing in the communities they currently reside in.
