The RTA Rental Application (Form 22) is not a contract. Firstly, we require this to inform us of your interest, and it is also needed to provide the usual information that shows you will be a responsible tenant. It opens the door to the PeoplePurposePlace process for acceptance into a household, but it is not the only source of information utilised to determine who will gain a place at Ginn Rd.
- Interviews will be conducted. Members of the Atherton Team will conduct these friendly interviews.
- Collaborative Group Learning Sessions:
- These sessions will serve as an introduction to Ginn Rd in particular, as well as to some of the principles and practices which form the foundation of collaborative conversations (based loosely on NVC https://nvcaustralia.com/)
- Attendance is required for the application process.
- Attendees will benefit from the sessions, as we all need reminders of the best conversation practices that produce harmonious group results.
- We prioritise attendees of PeoplePurposePlace Interactive group learning sessions in the selection process. Our goal is to form a harmonious household, and past habits of relating to others often conflict. By learning a common communication style (focused on listening, self-expression, and conflict resolution), participants gain the foundation they need to live together successfully.
- Final decisions will be made after the interviews are completed. 5 applicants will be offered places.
- The General Tenancy agreement (Form 18A) will be signed by the tenants and the landlord (Christine Doan)
