Join PeoplePurposePlace for our first workshop series exploring the future of collaborative living on the Tablelands. We’re not just building houses—we’re creating communities grounded in shared values: People, Purpose, and Place.
This free 10-part workshop series welcomes individuals and community groups interested in affordable, sustainable living. Learn how to build strong small groups. We cover essential skills in decision-making, household rules, conflict resolution, and collaboration, all based on sound communication principles.
As housing costs rise, collaborative living provides an empowering, affordable alternative.
Our workshops help you build the skills and connections to thrive in a small, close-knit community that balances privacy with ease of interaction.
Important: For individuals who are ready to apply for a place in one of our two pilot projects 10 workshops are a prerequisite.

We are transforming housing into a foundation for purposeful living by teaching collaboration skills and creating supportive communities.
We support people in discovering that homes can be designed not just for shelter but as environments that generate a sense of natural giving and receiving simply because they work.
Our approach addresses housing insecurity while simultaneously building the skills and connections that enable people to thrive together, just as life is meant to be.
Workshops:
Anyone interested in the concept of collaborative living is welcome to attend one or all ten workshops, offered free of charge at this time.
Next dates are to be determined in conjunction with workshop participants.
Workshop participation is a requirement to be considered for a rental space at Ginn Rd, our new build pilot project, or our next project, a renovation based on PeoplePurposePlace principles.
Themes:
People: Focus on individual needs, better communication, and self-awareness to support group success. It also covers forming groups, making decisions (and revising them!), and resolving conflicts.
Purpose: From personal goals to shared vision.
Place: Navigating Australia’s housing system & novel alternatives
We coach and guide people out of housing stress and into homes by providing workshops, resources, and practical support that enables the formation of thriving, inclusive households.
Our designs address diverse housing needs, including alternative solutions for everyone, including essential workers, elders, and those excluded by the current system. We personalise designs for each group and encourage collaboration. Once complete, we offer local builder options focused on affordability.
Our expertise extends to project delivery, budget management, contract understanding, and ensuring best practices in sustainability, accessibility, and future-proofing. We are with you every step of the way until you can celebrate your new home.
